Our Maiden voyage with new equipment, great framily, and the dogs! The weather was perfect and the company too!! This was our first voyage and none of us were quite sure what we were getting into or how we would fair climbing the hill. But, WOW!! We took our time and managed to reach the top in good form and with bountiful smiles and a sense of accomplishment! What a great day!

Although I first thought this was a Grey Jay, the long beak made me question this. So I did some internet searching and discovered this grey/black/white bird is called a Clark's Nutcracker.  There were a whole lot of them there ready to snag any food that would come their way!

  4. Debby... there is no stragglers with the Wittner Hikers... they are called "pace setters so that others will not hurt themselves"!! I appreciate your pace and thoroughly enjoyed our hike because of it!! Urs
